Book a Scan is a private diagnostic imaging booking platform. We help patients access private diagnostic imaging services across the UK.

  • Other diagnostic imaging services

Book a Scan acts as a booking and administrative intermediary. We do not provide diagnostic imaging ourselves.

We do not operate radiology clinics. We do not employ radiologists, radiographers, sonographers, consultants, or reporting clinicians.

All scans and imaging services are provided by independent third-party imaging providers.

2. AIS Health Ltd

Book a Scan is operated by AIS Health Ltd.

AIS Health Ltd provides the website, booking pathway, administrative support, and communication process.

AIS Health Ltd is not the imaging provider unless expressly stated otherwise.

The clinical provider remains responsible for the scan appointment, imaging procedure, scan safety, reporting, and clinical governance.

3. Nature of Our Service

Book a Scan is a booking intermediary.

Our role may include:

  • Helping you choose a suitable booking pathway
  • Collecting booking and medical information
  • Passing relevant information to imaging providers

  • Taking payment where applicable

We do not provide medical advice. We do not diagnose medical conditions. We do not recommend that you undergo a specific scan.

We do not replace your GP, consultant, or usual clinician. Information on the website is provided for general guidance only.

4. No Emergency or Urgent Care

Book a Scan is not an emergency service.

You should not use this website for urgent medical problems. For urgent or emergency care, call 999, attend A&E, or contact NHS 111 where appropriate.

Urgent symptoms may include:

Some scans may require a GP, consultant, or clinician referral.

X-rays, CT scans, mammograms, and DEXA scans involve ionising radiation. These scans must be clinically justified before being carried out.
